Since founding Gaia Human Capital Consultants in 2006, Dawn Dzurilla has become a recognized executive search leader within the entire green economy - especially the cleantech, clean and renewable energy industry.  She leverages her twenty-plus years of senior-level executive search, team-building and organizational experience to serve clients in attracting and securing world-class, senior-executive talent to each client engagement. 

Dawn is a frequent public speaker and the author of several articles providing strategic human capital and leadership solutions within the Global Cleantech and Green Economy.  She is a Contributing Columnist for www.RenewableEnergyWorld.com, the most widely read publication in the renewable energy industry. She is an outspoken proponent, advocating "green collar" executive and professional careers.  Dawn has hosted conferences and written and spoken publicly about the challenges and solutions that cleantech firms face when attempting to attract and secure world-class executive leadership.

Immediately prior, Dawn Co-founded and served as President of H3 Capital, LLC, an innovative Socially Responsible Investment Management (SRI) firm that screened, selected and managed investments based on issues which integrate personal, societal values and environmental concerns with individual investment decisions.

Dawn's Cleantech career began when she served for several years as Managing Director of Corporate Development for a premier manufacturer of environmental and medical waste management technology solutions. Dawn was successful in attracting financial and human capital and positioning the firm for significantly new global business opportunities.

An accomplished Executive Search Professional, over the course of fifteen years, Dawn built a retainer executive search firm, completing scores of C-level and professional search assignments serving clients in the financial services industry including . . .

  • 14 years, represented a leading global financial institution securing senior-level talent across several areas and lines of businesses. 
  • 8 years, partnered with the Founder/CEO & ownership of a mutual fund organization.  Secured several executive management team (C-level) & professionals. Firm grew from 7 employees to over 100 employees, managing over $23 Billion of assets under management.
  • 5 years, partnered with a prominent boutique investment bank, recruited several senior players.  Also started-up and managed a successful nationwide MBA Associate and Analyst recruitment program.

Earlier, Dawn served as a Principal of one of the world's largest retainer executive search firms.  Her career began at Smith Barney providing financial & business analysis for structured principal transactions and prior, in their Commodities Futures Group, evaluating the investment and credit risk for prominent institutional and retail clients.

A native New Yorker, Dawn is a resident of Naples, FL and New York City.  She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from St. John's University in New York City.  Dawn is involved in a variety of environmental and green economy initiatives.  

Since founding the firm, Dawn has been an involved member of the American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE).
